Founded in 1969, AMG Antrieb und Mechanik GmbH was among the first companies to specialise in the manufacture of high-quality pneumatic quarter-turn actuators. Decades of engineering development, precision manufacturing and continuous innovation have established AMG as a recognised name in actuator technology.

AMG UK was established to supply the UK valve and automation sector with high-performance pneumatic rack and pinion actuators. The product range has since expanded to include electric, pneumatic and hydraulic actuation solutions in both Double Acting (DA) and Spring Return (SR) configurations.

Beyond supply, AMG UK provides practical technical guidance throughout the specification process — ensuring actuators are correctly matched to valve characteristics, environmental conditions and operational requirements.

AMG UK is led by Managing Director Martin Breen, who brings over 30 years of industry experience in valve automation and industrial actuation. This hands-on expertise supports AMG’s application-led approach and long-term customer relationships.

Working in partnership with the German manufacturing base and as part of the Pesch Gruppe, AMG Actuators combines established engineering design with responsive UK-based support.

AMG’s proven guide rod design has been a defining feature within the German market for over three decades, contributing to long-term reliability and performance in demanding applications.
